Ground floor:
Open plan fully fitted kitchen and dining area seating up to 12 people, with doors opening onto the external terrace with table and chairs ideal for alfresco dining under the vineyard. Living room with comfortable seating, TV and DVD player. Guest toilet and luggage room.
Twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom and doors opening onto a shaded terrace overlooking the pool and lawn. This bedroom is suitable for the disabled.
Upper floor:
Master double bedroom with ensuite shower room featuring also a free standing stylish bath. Private balcony with immaculate sea views.
Further 2 bedrooms each with twin beds and ensuite shower room as well as sea view.
Double bedroom with ensuite shower room, pool and sea view.
Cottage:
Double bedroom and mezannine above sleeping an extra 2 children or 1 adult. Shower room and toilet. Doors opening onto beautiful large stone terrace partially covered by a sumptuous Bougainvillea.
Both the main house and the cottage are fully air conditioned.
Old distillery and games room:
Together with the main house and cottage, guests have the use of another building composed by the original old distillery (with the original bread / pizza oven) and games room with large (9feet) pool table. From the living area there is a superb wooden decking terrace with uninterrupted sea view - often called the G&T evening spot!
Exterior
Spacious mature garden, sunbathing terraces and lawn. Excellent barbecue area perfect for alfresco dining. Private swimming pool 12m X 5,5m and the depth is from 1.10m to 2.20 metres. Car parking.

As this villa is located in the municipality of Viana do Castelo, a tourist tax is payable as of 6 of August 2024.
HOW MUCH IS THE MUNICIPAL TOURIST TAX?
€1.50 in high season: from 1st May to 31st October

WHO PAYS?
- Guests aged 16 and over, per night, up to a maximum of 5 consecutive nights (per person and per stay).

We went as a big group including 3 families end of October beginning of November. The villa and its views was absolutely breathtaking. The villa had everything we needed and the children couldn’t get enough of the pool. The kitchen was stocked as reqsee more
We went as a big group including 3 families end of October beginning of November. The villa and its views was absolutely breathtaking. The villa had everything we needed and the children couldn’t get enough of the pool. The kitchen was stocked as requested as we arrived late and it was exactly what we needed. There was plenty of towels for the pool which was brilliant as we didn’t have to use the white bathroom towels.
The villa decor was incredible mix of modern and vintage decor which we absolutely loved. We used the pizza oven one night (although it took us over an hour to cook one pizza because we had never done it before). If you get a day where the weather isn’t great then head to the shopping mall which is about 10 minutes away good selection of food places in there and some lovely shops. The beach was breathtaking. The only thing we would say is the recycling bins were about 500 metres away from the villa down the hill. As we had a big group we had a lot of rubbish to get rid of and it was quite a trek carrying the bins down to the bins. Would definitely recommend it was such a great holiday |

We could walk to lovely cafes, restaurants, and small grocery stores easily. It is on the Caminho trail and we loved taking brief nature hikes. We hired Chef Marta and Carlos who made us food from her heart and her country. Sergio was so responsive for any questions. This Villa is so special.

I absolutely love Casa da Padeira. This was the second time I brought a group who loved it very much, and I'm already looking forward to next year! The place has everything you need, it's private and quiet, simply beautiful surrounded by nature, just hearing the sound of the waves, being between mountains and the beach, the soft grass and great swimming pool, with the flowers, herbs and fruits trees, it's a really treat. The old and the modern theme of the house decoration with all the facilities is brilliant. Also, the walk to the waterfalls and having a great restaurant down the road, add a great bonus to this special place.

Esta casa em Afife era absolutamente incrível por dentro e por fora. Ótimas vistas e comodidades super fantásticas. Especialmente a sala de bilhar e o quarto com vista para a água eram incríveis. No entanto, havia um pouco de esgoto/humidade no quarto no andar de baixo. Toda a comunicação foi rápida e o Sergio foi muito prestativo antes e durante a estadia. A Afife infelizmente não tem tanto para oferecer como uma cidade na semana 42, mas temos a certeza que é uma cidade de verão maravilhosa. Recomendamos vivamente esta casa a outras pessoas.

What a lovely place to stay! The bedrooms are perfect, kitchen fully-equipped and welcoming, but the big surprise was the garden with the fruit trees, beautiful flowers, lovely pool and of course, stunning views all around. Amazing!

We visited: * Viana do Castelo * Porto * National Park Peneda-Gerês * Poço Negro * Several beaches * Ancora * Moledo With just the four of us, we had plenty of space. We would love to come back and enjoy this fabulous place with some friends. The historic feel of the place give that extra "special" addition. I love it! Thanks! We enjoyed the marvelous house with its stunning oceanview and sunsets. Our kids enjoyed the pool, tabletennis and the gamesrooms with the pooltable, many competitions were played! We had an amazing walking tour through the forest of the mountains (a 30-minute drive inland) with the guide Agostinho DescubraMinho. We jumped into waterpools, natural crystal clear ice cold water, with beautiful waterfalls. A recommendation to do with your family. Thanks Sergio for all your help and information. We loved it and hope to be back one day!!

Tivemos o privilégio de desfrutar - durante uma semana - da villa 270, a Casa da Padeira e temos de vos contar, foi perfeito. Ninguém tem dúvidas que vivemos um tempo único, têm sido meses difíceis (continuam a ser), mas existem momentos que nos devolvem um sorriso à face que perdura no tempo, esses momentos são normalmente passados com família e amigos, e nós graças à Distinctive Portugal tivemos um desses momentos em família que vai perdurar na memória de todos para sempre, aquelas férias em Afife, Minho.
