This beautiful stone farmhouse, with a recently built private swimming pool, is set on a hillside north of the Lima river, offering inspiring panoramas of rolling vineyards and olive groves. The original building has been lovingly restored and expanded into a spacious summer home which includes the main house and adjacent cottage. Exposed beamed ceilings and terracotta floors evoke the Minho region elegance - famous for the historic houses with coat of arms - while bright, air-conditioned bedrooms in the main house and en-suite bathrooms. From the well-equipped kitchen, step into the open-plan living and dining area, charmingly furnished with an open fireplace and sofas.
At the far end of the open-plan living and dining area, doors open out onto a large terrace with views that stretch out over the surrounding countryside. Al fresco living revolves around this large terrace at the front of the house, protected with sun umbrellas. On the upper floor, a large living area flows on one side out onto a shaded balcony with great views.
A few steps up lead to the adjacent cottage and private swimming pool, set on a lawned terrace above the main house. Facing south / west, the pool area is bathed in sunlight all day. Uninterrupted views and a large shaded area just below the sunbathing terrace, will have you wondering whether it’s worth leaving your countryside escape to sightsee the beautiful Ponte de Lima roman town and other nearby Minho attractions.
In between the swimming pool and the main house lies the cottage, enjoying a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a private terrace looking out over the pool area.
