Set in an elevated position, this beautiful stone built house is located a short drive away from Arcos de Valdevez, a charming hillside town built on the banks of Rio Vez, with a magnificent view of the valley. It has been extensively renovated to give comfortable Portugal accommodation in superb surroundings. The attractive patio and a stone path leads the way through wide lawns to the swimming pool, which looks out onto a pleasing panorama of lush wooded slopes. The well maintained garden with lawn, chestnut and fruit trees is set out on different levels. In addition, there is a large swimming pool and a private tennis court.

Ponte de Lima which has an excellent golf course and various restaurants, is approximately a 15 minute drive away. Viana do Castelo, a lively fishing and ship-building port, famous for its winding streets and ancient monuments, is about a 30 minute drive away.

Accommodation (a three storey house):

Lower ground floor: Dining room with tables to seat 18 people. Doors opening onto an outdoor stone terrace overlooking the swimming pool and valley, ideal for alresco dining. Guest toilet. Adjacent double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Fully fitted kitchen with breakfast table.

Ground floor: Living room with comfortable seating, three sofas, satellite TV, video and open fireplace. Door opening onto a large balcony with delightful views over the valley. Double bedroom with ensuite shower room and private balcony. Twin bedroom with ensuite shower room. Door leads out to patio.

First floor: Two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom each with an ensuite shower room. Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and jacuzzi bath.

Adjacent cottage: Games room with football table.

Exterior: Mature sloping lawns with spectacular views leading down to the tennis court and pool area. The swimming pool is 12 metres long and 7 metres wide. The depth is from 1.40 to 2.10 metres. Laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Small annexe with changing rooms and toilet. The several outdoor terraces includes a covered barbecue area for your further enjoyment.

The housekeeper owner lives on the estate in a separate cottage. A horse riding centre is also set on the estate. The guests accommodation is completely independent with privacy.
